Water:
Carballo’s thermal water is classified as minero-medicinal water, sodium bicarbonate sulphurate of weak mineralization. It emerges at 42ºC. It was recognized as one of the best in Europe by the Water Court of Paris at the end of 19th Century and it was declared to be for public use in 1928.
The Spa water has a high content of sulphur, sodium and bicarbonate although there are other important components in a lesser extent such as chlorine, fluorine, etc. The water is colourless and transparent but in a large extent they can become greenish.
